Good news! We received a request that was simply too good not to grant. Bid the Boss to Ballad is no longer limited to bosses! Any department representative is now welcome to participate because you don't have to be a boss to be the boss of the mic!
Get ready for an afternoon of laughs, friendly competition, and family-friendly karaoke as department representatives from across Shasta County take the stage to raise money for Camp Hope. Hosted by the Department of Public Works, the Second Annual Bid the Boss to Ballad is an event you won't want to miss!
📅 Saturday, August 1
🕑 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
📍 The Black Sheep Gastropub at Redding Sports Park
Representatives from the County Administrative Office, District Attorney's Office, Health and Human Services Agency, Public Works, Resource Management, and the Sheriff's Office have already stepped up to the challenge, and there's still time for more departments to join the fun!
The five department representatives who raise the most money will earn a spot on stage. The top fundraising department may use the funds it raises to sponsor a bowling team in the District Attorney's Strike Out Domestic Violence Bowl-A-Thon, donate directly to Camp Hope, or split the funds between both.
Mark your calendars for Monday, July 27, when advance bidding opens and the official performer lineup, song list, and bidding details will be announced. We can't wait to see who becomes the next boss of the mic!

July is National UV Safety Month! Check out Alliant's Preventing Skin Cancer article.
